My buddy and I have lived in Cecil county our whole lives. He’s 28 and I’m 25. We decided to go to bakers last night with his wife after hearing good things from neighbors. We were blown away. Let’s start with convenience, bakers is 7 minutes away from my buddy’s house and we didn’t wait a second to get seated. Next is ambiance, there was live music playing, the lighting was dim and the walls were covered in inspirational quotes. Next the food. Incredible. 10 out of 10. Everything from the onion rings to the hamburger steak to the ribs to the crab bisque to the green beans, absolutely to die for. Just signed up to be a vip member. Already dreaming of coming back
Stopped there today,12/9/23, for the first time after driving by so many times. It was all around AMAZING!!! The inside was so beautifully decorated. A Winter Wonderland. I wish I had taken pictures! The Waitress we had was so great! She had us laughing from the second she came over. She was a great lady! I had the Crab Bisque to start. I have to say it is at the top of the ones I ever had. Real crab. I could tell by the piece of shell I got which didn't bother me a bit because to me that shows me it has real crab meat and homemade! Then I had the hamburger steak. A bit too much char for my taste but still good. Homemade Mashed and Broccoli as my sides. I also got an orange crush which was made just perfectly. All around this is a must stop if you are ever in the area! I will definitely be back!
Wonderful experience, outdoor seating is a little loud with the traffic, but food was phenomenal.
Came here a few nights ago with my family for dinner. Cozy little place. They have some really nice big booths which is a plus for me since screw tables ! Tables r crap and booths r better. By sitting in a booth u put urself in a higher class than those lousy table sitters. I got a burger and fries 🍟 🍔, my mom and sister got chicken and dumplings and my dad got steak. We all had a wonderful meal and the service was fast and excellent! Definitely coming back in the future!
Really more like an upscale diner, tbh. Interesting sounding dishes, and they were yummy. Use your salt and pepper. Friendly, clean, and not too expensive.
We had a wonderful lunch at Baker’s. I had the Angus Beef Sliders, my partner had the Baked Haddock and we shared the onion rings. The portion sizes were big, the food was delicious and Sandy’s service was spectacular.
My girlfriends and I had such a wonderful lunch at Baker's. I haven't been in many years, and remembered it being good then, and it still holds true. Our waitress (Jeanne) was awesome and super friendly. The atmosphere was cozy and the interior was really nice. We had a tough time deciding on what to order, great variety of options. I ordered the Alabama Slamma which came with fries and a pickle, I added a side of coleslaw. Oh. My. Lanta. It was delicious! The chicken was cooked perfectly, juicy and flavorful, the fries were fresh and tasty, and the coleslaw was amazing, like good old fashioned grandma kind. My one friend ordered the hot turkey sandwich with the homemade mashed potatoes. It looked amazing, and she enjoyed every bite. My other friend ordered the southwest chicken sandwich minus the bun and she also enjoyed hers. I had to end my lunch with a piece of cheese cake.. it was yummy. We already made plans to meet again here for another lunch date. The great food, prices and service is too good not to return. The shepards pie and the ravioli with shrimp were both amazing! We had a very delicious dinner, both dishes had great flavor and were filling. We enjoyed every bite. The Smith island carrot cake was tasty after dinner treat!
Sandy was our waitress. She was attentive, pleasant and didn’t rush us. The food was excellent. Atmosphere was wonderful and beautifully decorated. Highly recommend and ask for Sandy for a great experience and service.
Stopped in for lunch today . The atmosphere was great , the menu had a great variety of salads, sandwiches and entrees. The waitress was very nice and gave enough time to look over the menu. The 1/2 lb shrimp were steamed perfect , I personally ordered the Alabama slama chicken sandwich and it was definitely delicious. The crab melt was good and the hot turkey was excellent. I definitely will be coming back again...
